I loved the feedback, the in the moment guidance, how they loved our feedback and help. We felt like our opinion and work mattered, it was a very wholesome informative.
What I wish was different
I wish we could have been able to work weekends, it was 8-5 but with a college who is constantly trying to impress college advisors, counselors or recruitment, it helps when things are flexible. Don't get me wrong they were so flexible, but weekends would have been good too.
Advice
Ask for intentional feedback, and network with them, ask them questions if they know of other internships you can work with.

What I liked
Everyone wanted me to succeed and learn as much as I could. I felt really connected to the people in my office and felt they wanted the best for me.
What I wish was different
I just realized it wasn't wanted I wanted to do, which was really hard for me to accept. So the things I didn't like were what I was doing because I realized it wasn't for me.
Advice
If you are interested in government work do anything to get some experience in it! I thought it would be my dream job, but it wasn't what I always thought it would be.

What I liked
I liked being able to attend interesting hearings and trials. Additionally, I enjoyed the administrative side of the internship, the case management, as I was able to learn a lot of the legal jargon and how the court system works and then integrate it into my classes at the time.
What I wish was different
I wish there were more interactive tasks with the actual assistant attorney generals.
Advice
Take advantage of any invitation to trials or hearings and reach out to the assistant attorney generals as they are happy to offer insight!
