What I liked

I really liked to work in an office environment, and I have learned a lot from working with other interns.

What I wish was different

I wished that I would of mastered my time management, because that was one of the biggest thing when it comes to managing all of my to do list.

Advice

One piece advice I want to share with you is that please do not ask many questions to your supervisor. If you are confused or stuck on a project, you need to find your own creative solution before going to the supervisor. The supervisor does not like when someone comes to ask many questions to them because it shows to them that you are not making an effort in resolving your own project. Make sure to pay attention to specific details on what the supervisor tells you, and you make sure to write some notes. Also when it comes to your project, you need to make sure to complete that and complete the other project simultaneously because the supervisor have a deadline you are required to complete it. Make sure you do not miss the deadline, and complete it at all cost.

What I liked

I liked teaching refugee children the English language. The children were always excited to learn and appreciated their education.

What I wish was different

I wish the children were fortunate to go to school all year long. School during the summer time is good, but not as beneficial as a regular school year.

Advice

My piece of advice would be to enjoy every second. Being able to volunteer and work with refugees was a great life experience.

What I liked

This internship was the perfect opportunity to improve my professional and interpersonal skills while assisting underprivileged students in their dreams of attending a US university. From SAT tutoring to essay guidance, I supported students with my knowledge of the university application process. It is gratifying to see students at EducationUSA at Amideast get into some of the top universities in the US.
