What I liked

The small office size meant everyone knew each other and was quite friendly. The location/view from the office was amazing. I definitely felt taken care of during my experience. My learning goals and general interests were definitely catered to through the work I did and the people I got to interact with. There was a wonderful diversity of experiences and projects throughout my internship. Having a mentor was also quite nice.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have had more time to learn and interact with the people around me. Everyone had fascinating stories and reasons for being there - two months wasn't enough time! Additionally, more challenging work/longer term projects would have been nice as well.

Advice

I'm very happy I chose a non-engineering related internship for my summer because it really broadened my perspective of what is possible after Olin. We work on engineering day in and day out, but there are so many challenges in the world we can help solve by applying our analytical minds and flexible learning styles. Would definitely recommend this experience for anyone looking for something different, interested in consulting or in the non-profit sector.
