What I liked

I really liked getting to meet new people from going to our events and I befriended a few really good people from this experience and honestly, the people are the best part of this job once you get to know them. I also enjoyed getting to improve my skills in using social media to market events and I learned to use MailChimp which has been very beneficial.

What I wish was different

I wish there had been a little more structure to the position. I enjoyed working with my boss, but there was some disorganization so I was often working idea to idea/project to project as necessary as opposed to tending in one direct generally. I wish I had been told about the location sooner. It was not mentioned during the application or interview process that I would be in Newburgh, New York most of the time as opposed to the main office in Manhattan, but I did mention this to the people who interviewed me during my informal exit interview and they noted it and said they would be sure to change that.

Advice

Be prepared to be the organized one in the office and be on top of your work. My boss was a great guy but very disorganized when I worked for him so I was often the one remembering all of my assignments and what needed to be done week-to-week. I would be the one accomplishing the work that I kept organized and remembered to do so he could review it, but sometimes he would forget that it needed to be done so my doing it was the reminder.
