What I liked
I liked that I had the opportunity to work within a large variety of different age groups, ranging from infants to Pre-K. I was able to learn from Lead Teachers in each classroom and got valuable firsthand experience in working and interacting with young children.
What I wish was different
I wish that I would've received more formal training and general information about guidelines that come into play whilst working in a daycare setting, as well as specific guidelines applying to this organization.
Advice
I would advise others considering an Assistant Teaching position to ask questions of the Lead Teachers about their classroom schedules, teaching philosophies, etc.
