I love the ability to volunteer on my own schedule and interact with people across Utah and Nevada. It is so fun to listen to peoples' stories and experiences and use those experiences in deciding where they should volunteer.
What I wish was different
If anything, I wish that I had more opportunities to meet with my team directly. Everyone has been so fantastic and accommodating, that it is almost a shame that this position specifically is online only.
Advice
Make sure you have a decent idea about how much/how long you want to volunteer. The volunteer screeners do their best to accommodate your schedule. Also, if you have any sort of license or certification, tell us! we always need people to do specialized jobs.

What I liked
I gained customer service experience, and learned how to work well under pressure.
What I wish was different
We had someone consistently on the schedule alerting donors if they should reschedule their donation due to short staff, etc. before making they make the trip to our location.
