We are a national education initiative headquartered in Shreveport, Louisiana. Our mission is to teach local history and culture to local people and to visitors from outside our area. The regional visitor center for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and the Red River Waterway is partnering with the American Millennium Project to provide a facility for local tours to meet and begin to learn our local history and the reason our city on the Red River came to be. Individuals, student groups, businesses, partner organizations, community leaders all will come to the visitor center to learn local history and culture. Interns will greet them, and facilitate their learning experience.
