The AIF Banyan Impact Fellowship for Service in India is a fully funded, immersive and interdisciplinary volunteer program for young professionals to serve with community development organizations in India for 10 months. Fellows have the opportunity to support grassroots organizations through collaboration and capacity-building while learning about inclusive leadership in development through service and fieldwork. AIF is committed to disrupting poverty, catalyzing social and economic change in India, and building a lasting bridge between the United States and India. Working closely with local communities, AIF partners with NGOs to develop and test innovative solutions, and with governments to create and scale sustainable impact. Founded at the initiative of President Bill Clinton following a suggestion from Indian Prime Minister Vajpayee, AIF has impacted the lives of 5.6 million of India’s poor through high-impact interventions in education, public health, and livelihoods.
