Recruitment Intern

What I liked
This was an amazing experience. I was the recruitment intern which meant that I called people and invited them to our events. I also had a lot to do with the logistics of the actual events. This was through the Jaggar Program at Adelphi. The people I worked with have become a second family and were extremely welcoming.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been engaging in something that had to do with my major of English Teaching.
Advice
I would advise that you find a placement that will give you skills needed in your career and take every opportunity to network.

Community event support role

What I liked
Learned how an office works. Managed two other interns while being the face of customer service. The Tampa office has a very welcoming team that becomes your family.
What I wish was different
I wish I personally asked more questions; I can assume things at times.
Advice
Take advantage of each opportunity and step up when you can!
