I liked being able to have a better understanding of how a bank operates. I also liked the flexibility they allowed for interns to explore different departments within the bank. The work culture at Amerant was very family orientated which helped us address our concerns and questions with team members and even executives.
What I wish was different
I wish that they had a better plan for interns. A lot of the time we were trying to find activities to do within the departments.
Advice
Take full advantage of the resources you can find on Handshake and be innovative and challenge yourself in the workplace. Don't be afraid to ask questions and mention your concerns and questions to your superiors in the workplace.
