I loved the passion from all the workers, and their dedication to such critical work in society. I looked up to everyone who was there, and all their experiences that have lead them to take on environmental justice work.
What I wish was different
I wish I had a supervisor who checked-in with me weekly and directed me along the way by giving me assignments to do and more collaboration work with other interns.
Advice
Working at an NGO is different for everyone, but I would suggest reaching out to folks in the office for support, and have them tell their stories about why they do what they do for a living; it's a rewarding conversation to have.
