My mentor was always eager to discuss career plans and give me advice. They also encouraged me to reach out to other employees across departments and levels (for the most part, they were very willing to meet with me and give me general advice). My mentor was also very understanding of my other commitments and allowed for flexible working hours. They were incredible.
What I wish was different
I sometimes hoped that the experience could be more structured, but there are advantages to the freedom I was afforded in picking a capstone project as well as executing tasks.
