Graphic Design Intern

What I liked

Being apart of an in-house creative team was a standout for me. Getting to work on projects with my team and across teams were a lot of fun. Even working with others was a blast, the dynamic and atmosphere that the company had was inspiring and made me feel at home. They prioritize wellness in the workplace with really drew me in, along with their volunteerism opportunities that others can take part of. I had worked with a class of other interns in different roles and they were a blast to work with. I am looking forward to returning post-grad!

What I wish was different

I don’t have too much on my plate to wish differently but the trip we took I would’ve preferred if we had more downtime in between events. Otherwise, I enjoyed all of it!

Advice

While pay and benefits are certainly something to look out for, I’d say make sure you work at a place that the employees values and cares for the employees. I really experienced that first hand while I was there.

Software Engineering Intern

What I liked

The company has an amazing culture. The executives obviously put a ton of effort into keeping everybody at the company happy. From espresso machines to paid volunteer hours, this company makes sure that it is creating a community that everybody wants to share.

What I wish was different

As a growing company, there weren't many other interns, and all of them were in different areas of the company so even then we couldn't really work together on anything. This will be changing in future years when they expand the company.

Advice

I wish I had spent all my time just hanging out with people and getting to know everyone and learn from them what the workplace is like. Instead I went in with a hardwork ethic and spent all my time working and as an intern that is not required.
