I love being able to help people through their toughest times. Being able to give great pre-hospital care is essential in emergency situations and increases chance of survival.
What I wish was different
I wish pay was higher, and it’s nothing against this company either, the national average for EMT-B is extremely low.
Advice
It is completely worth the investment of time to take the EMT-B course. I love my job and wouldn’t want to do anything else before my career. This job is a great stepping stone for people going into healthcare. It looks amazing on grad school apps and the job itself gives you a lot of experience in the field.
