I have grown up playing hockey, so being able to move from the ice to the front office of an organization and gain real world experience was a real treat for me.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been able to stay longer. Since I was there for such a short period of time I was not exposed to the real "in-depth" finances of the team, though I still did a lot of good and fun work.
Advice
I would recommend working for a sports team when the season is going. I did this during the off-season so there was not as much to do had I been there for the season.
