Working with kids and getting to experience their brain development in math but also being some of their first experiences in meeting someone closer to their age and in college.
What I wish was different
I wish I wasn't at multiple sites as that made it difficult to build report with the students in the 3 different classrooms I was mentoring.
Advice
I would advise you to be as honest with kids as you can and always be the person that advocates for them as sometimes the education system and many teachers are not working with them.

Being a TA would be more interesting than a program assistant.
