My supervisors where helpful and open to my many questions. They had me working on client projects right away. It was challenging but my fellow lab technicians were alwayys ready to give me something to do or answer my questions or help with documentation.

Always ask for help from the people around you. They may be busy or preoccupied but be willing to ask for help because they have the experience or know someone who is available to assist you
