About Akron Zoological Park

The Akron Zoological Park (Akron Zoo) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of wildlife while providing a dynamic, financially responsible, guest-centered animal experience that is energized by innovation and fun. Through its 63 year history, the Akron Zoo has remained an integral part of the Summit County community. Accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), more than 380,000 guests visited the zoo in 2015. The Akron Zoo boasts more than 700 species within its 50-acre park.
