General Engineer

May - August 2019 • Albuquerque, NM

What I liked

This internship gave lots of opportunity for those who wish to work in government. Return offers were almost guaranteed, and the job was very lax.

What I wish was different

The job was heavily oriented toward program management, which I was unaware upon accepting the offer. Not much was expected, which made it easy to excel but often hard to find meaningful work.

Advice

For someone searching for hands on engineering experience, this is not the place for you. However, the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center is a perfect opportunity for someone passionate about systems engineering or for someone looking to work in government.
