I was able to work fashion week which was an amazing and truly rewarding experience. I was able to see the ins and outs of a fashion PR agency.
What I wish was different
I wish my employers were more helpful and were able to teach me more. I was not doing a lot of hands on work but instead it felt like a sweatshop. Interns were required to maintain a showroom and sample trafficking which felt like working in a retail store without getting paid. I did not learn any valuable information that is beneficial to my career. Interns were very catty and competitive. I wish I was actually able to learn actual PR material instead of being asked to go buy a seam cutter at the store or "take notes" on a call when it was just for show.
Advice
Don't intern here unless you have no other option.
