I was actually involved in research, and monitoring unlike other internships where I only did administrative work or errands. I had my research align with my own interests in the region and a lot of guidance from my supervisors.
What I wish was different
That my supervisors had been a little more organized so I could have better direction and deadlines for my work.
Advice
Communication is key, if you need more time ask for it and if you need help ask for it. Everyone is very understanding.
