AFL allows you to work on projects that allow you to develop professionally in accordance with your goals. Not only do they allow you to demonstrate your fundamental engineering concepts, but also allow you to use practical tools that you might not have previously been exposed to.
What I wish was different
I wish I could've collaborated on some projects with the other co-ops so that I can get a feel for team-based projects.
Advice
Always be eager to learn. If you don't understand something, it is always better to ask than to assume you already know or won't need to.

What I liked
AFL gave me meanginful work and allowed me to play a large part in several projects.
What I wish was different
Finding housing was quite difficult so you have to make sure you’re on top of finding a place to live.
Advice
Talk to everyone in the department. They are all very willing to teach you and give you assignments to work on so you will have a variety of experiences.
