The ability to do many different kinds of kaizens on different value streams.
What I wish was different
Would have been interested to stay longer to see results of projects.
Advice
Be social and friendly. Don't be afraid to ask questions or speak up.

Mechanical Engineering Coop
August 2018 • Clyde, NY
What I liked
Work on diverse projects with people of various positions. Help is always available, and work is a good mix between sitting in a cubical doing design work and walking the production floor working with operators on hands-on issues. Very rewarding experience.
What I wish was different
Would have enjoyed more group projects working with other Coop students. Much of the work was independent and time consuming (but rarely tedious).
Advice
Be ready to wake up early, and probably commute at least 30 minutes (I do an hour) each way. People are happy to walk you through projects, but you should expect to spend quite a bit of time working without direction. This coop truly makes you put school work to real world applications.
