What I liked
This foundation makes an impact in their community. The women behind Act Now are invested, intelligent, and loving. They see and have felt the way dementia can affect a person and their loved ones, and will exhaust their resources the make sure every family gets the support they need. They educate, they encourage and they help improve the lives of those struggling with dementia. This is a non-profit organization and the services they provide can change peoples lives. This organization does a lot, but there are a few aspects I want to highlight. First, they educate. As an intern, you get to assist in giving presentations and education seniors on ways to live a healthier life or improve their health. Second, they support. One of the most incredible resources they provide is support for someone with dementia as well as their family and caregivers, whether educational, emotional, or legal support. Lastly, they raise awareness about Dementia. I think anyone would be lucky to be apart of this organization and to get to do such rewarding work.
