Work environment was really supportive and team was readily available for feedback and criticism. Small team allowed for close connections and a great first co-op experience.
What I wish was different
Due to company shifts, there was not a ton of projects, so I was unable to participate in the typical day to day, but the projects I was a part of, I enjoyed.

What I liked
I loved the company culture and the people I got to work with. I loved the company and the work I got to do there, and the things that I learned.
What I wish was different
I wish the company was closer to Cincinnati so I wouldn't have to commute so far.
Advice
Learn from the things people tell you. People who have been in the business for a long time know so much and if you have the opportunity, sit down with them and ask questions.

What I liked
I like the pay and the hours that I worked. I also liked my team leads and my supervisors. All the people that were in charge were welcoming and friendly, and it was a really decent summer job.
What I wish was different
I wish that there had been more air conditioning, because the building that I worked in was quite humid and stuffy, most of the time.
Advice
It was a great learning experience, but it also reminded me that school was the best option for me. I would not survive working in a factory for the rest of my life, so this was a great way to be reassured that I needed to continue to pursue my college degree.

Wages we good and we got paid time and a half on Saturday’s and double on Sundays. There were also a lot of hours.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more days off. At one point we went 45 days straight without a day off.
Advice
Factory jobs are good for money and experience, but before going into one make sure you know that it could very well take up most of your summer

Human Resources Intern

What I liked
The culture/ people were very supportive of my development and actively looked for special projects of interest to me. Incredibly supportive group even outside my working team.
What I wish was different
Some of the more mundane aspects of HR just aren't as flashy, but that's pretty universal.
Advice
Definitely focus on the experience, not necessarily name recognition or location. I had not heard of ACCO Brands before my summer internship, and it was one of the best experiences I could imagine utilizing my education and career interests.
