Accounting Intern

July - August 2019 • Quezon City, Philippines

What I liked

I like how they have a one on one mentoring internship program where each intern will learn from someone in a position and share their experiences.

What I wish was different

I wish I could've planned more hours to do the Internship. I had to finish it early because of the Semester is about to start and will need to fly back to school.

Advice

Be responsible for your own learning, meaning if theres something you desire to learn other than what you are currently learning, do not hesitate to ask co-workers.

Digital Content Intern

July - August 2019 • Quezon City, Philippines

What I liked

I was able to work with everyone in the Network's Radio Station , not just with the digital content department. I was able to experience some off-air and on-air activities, like helping on events and production, creative writing, dubbing or voice acting, and editing recordings. I also meet a lot of people working in the entertainment industry and I learned a lot of things from their stories and experiences. I learned how things works in this industry and what traits should I develop so I could be successful if I were to choose this career path. Most of all, I am glad to have met and to have worked with the workers, radio DJ's, artists, supervisors, and crews of the radio station while I was on my internship.

What I wish was different

Although I wished that I have been assigned to a department that is closely related to either of my Finance or Music Majors; I have experienced and learned a lot of new things in the department that I was assigned to. I just wished that I have been given some assignments to carry out some tasks that requires my finance and music skills. But if I were to choose which department I'd like to be on, I would choose that same one.

Advice

The best advice that I got from one of the DJ's that helped made my internship successful, fun and fulfilling is when he told me that I have to be proactive and initiate help to anyone in the team, because if I wait to be asked to help or to do an assignment, I wouldn't be able to maximize the opportunity to learn all the knowledge and skills that I could learn during my whole stay as an intern. I am glad that I listened to his advice and I am also grateful that I have a supportive and permissive Mentor and SME's.
