I was able to shadow Emergency Trauma Center doctors and some surgeries.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more shadowing opportunities in the specialties.
Advice
Its a very flexible and personalized program. You can get a lot out of it if you put the time in planning what you want to do.

What I liked
It was an internship program so I worked with a bunch of other people my age in my field
It was for people who want to work in health care just not clinically
Flexible with my time
Introduced me to many aspects of health care

Wish I could have had more hours (20 a week)
Advice
Ask questions and be involved during your internships. I learned so much from asking about what they were working on and by asking to tag along on different meetings and opportunities
