I enjoy that I get to interact and engage with children with disabilities. I love seeing how happy the children get when they are on the Zoom call.
What I wish was different
Since we are in a pandemic I just wished that internship experience was in-person.

What I liked
I love Camp Paivika! It is a sleep away summer camp for kids and adults with special needs! The campers and staff taught me so much and this population of people holds a special place in my heart! It's a great way to learn skills useful for work in Recreational therapy and other caregiving professions.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time there :) summer camp should never end when you work with such amazing people.
Advice
You never know what you are going to learn going into a job. I came in searching for something, and even though I left with something different, I got what I needed.
