“It was a really good experience for people with little to no coding experience as well as people with a bit more. The internship introduced to me a lot (~35) of other really cool students from top schools who I have kept in contact with since. They take special care in assigning you to your project and do a good job of matching you to a project that meets your wants and skill level. Being an intern there exposed me to what it's like to work at a software engineering company--submitting multiple code drafts, having people look over my code, writing test cases, etc. Like any full-time employee, I had weekly meetings where I discussed my progress and I brainstormed with full-time employees about how best to approach a problem. The only difference was that I had a mentor and a bit more guidance but I worked pretty independently until the end and up until now (I still work remotely for the company). At the end of the program, all of the interns presented their projects. Prior to this, the managers had us do several practice presentations where they gave a lot of constructive feedback. The program also include biweekly outings for interns and full-time employees to all get to know each other better. Definitely a great experience.”
