There was an opening for the teller position. I found out about it through a friend that already worked at the bank. It seemed like a great opportunity, and it was. I enjoyed my time working with JP Morgan. It's a great company and you get great benefits.
Well being a bank teller, no matter your career path, is perfect for understanding customer service on a higher level than regular retail. You’re no longer dealing with clothes that you want to sell to someone, it’s their accounts and their own money that's at stake. I wanted to be a bank teller because I knew it would be a great step in finding out how to deal with more privatized customer matters that require a stronger know-how with problem-solving and delicate resolutions. The pay is also great for someone who is in college and depending on majors, it provides good perspective for anyone in marketing, business, finance and fields of the like. Lastly, it has great hours that permit for studying at night and on weekends because Chase is closed past 2 on Saturdays and closed on Sundays completely. Hours work great for finding time to do other tasks.
