The Business Systems Analyst position can vary based on the team that you are applying for. I worked with a SaaS Delivery Team, so I was responsible for the analyzation and training of a particular software. I had no prior experience with the software so I leveraged my experience in using and training others in the use of communications software while I was in the military. When choosing a role to apply for, the key is to make sure that there are key qualities/experiences that you can speak to. In other words, don't tailor your response to the role, tailor the role to your experience. I wouldn't have chosen a BSA role in a finance team because there would be no experience to back it up with. In short, the qualities and experience that you will highlight should directly correspond with the team you are applying to and if you can't readily determine what you need to highlight, that role probably isn't right for you.
