As a recruiter, you’re handling the staffing needs of several Fortune 500 companies. Similarly to Human Resources, you’ll be working as the liaison between a career opportunity that you’re client (I.e. AT&T) is looking to fill & a potential candidate for that particular job (i.e. Software developer). Majority of my days consisted of reading the job description, developing an understanding of what my client is looking for in a potential candidate, plugging in a search using key words related to the job into search engines like LinkedIn, Monster, Careerbuilder etc. cold calling any candidates who are actively searching for a new career opportunity & presenting them the job(s) that we’ve got available at that time.
