Yes, the people are great, and the exposure is even better. As a first internship it helped me develop my skills as a professional and get used to working in the corporate world. As with any internship, you get out of it what you put into it. To make the most of any opportunity, branch out from just your team and fellow interns, meet as many people as possible and learn about what they do in their careers.

Absolutely, they care about you as an employee and they offer some of the greatest benefits that you will find at any big company nationwide. They have a super high employee satisfaction ratio and because of this they have tons of people who started working there after college and then retire there 30 years later. Fidelity is a place you can stay forever if decided and it is a great launchpad because of how reputable it is everywhere. I am now working at Bloomberg and one of the first questions I was asked was why I wanted to leave Fidelity. They have a tremendous name in the financial world.

Fidelity is a great place to start your career as a financial advisor. Fidelity is very well respected in the industry and their representatives are highly sought after. They are the 5th largest financial company in the world as measured by assets under management. Fidelity is privately held so, they are not subject to the whims of Wall Street. Fidelity is very laid back. Casual wear at work. They are constantly working to improve the technology we use, and I believe in the vision of their CEO Abbey Johnson.

Fidelity makes an excellent place to kickstart a career. They may be a financial institution but they have something for everyone. Moving around internally is very common as people find roles that more fit what they want and I find this very valuable in a business. Great corporate culture, strong Enterprise Leadership Team, competitive pay and amazing benefits are just a few of the reasons Fidelity makes a great first job.

In my experience, Fidelity was a good place to kickstart a career as a trading rep because they train well and seem to value their employees. As with all large financial services corporations, there will always be rules, hierarchies and office politics, but the culture was positive overall (i.e. not toxic or overly competitive).

I would definitely say Fidelity is a great place to start. I've learned a lot about business culture and am now comfortable in that sort of setting. I've gained exposure to the software development life cycle, new tech, and gained a very trustworthy reliable network.
