It varies depending on location and management staff. I have had great managers who care about the pets a lot and do there best to make sure the business runs smoothly. I have also had managers that lie to new associates about how they’ve made the company better when they do nothing at all. The culture and work atmosphere is always great with a good manager.
The culture felt friendly. There weren't very many workers (usually 2 of us in Pet Care at a time) so we got to know each other a lot. We also trusted one another to do our jobs and make sure the animals were taken care of, as well as the customers. Sometimes closing in Pet Care was hard when there was a lot to do and only one of us to do it, but working with animals is full of surprises and isn't like working in a factory.

They are so nice and actually care about their employees. I got enough hours to make it well worth my while but never so many that I felt overwhelmed. They give part time employees vacation time after 3 months which is awesome and overall they're just a great company to work for and I had a blast!
