Research research research. A large part was combing through all existing literature on the subject to find out: had our project been done before, if so how, if so when, if so what did they find, if not why, how do we do it, what's the best way to do it, etc. And then once we'd done that we actually have to design our research study, building survey questions and talking ethics. There was no one specific "day" just that there was a lot to do and I was always busy. Prepare for being busy and for needing to do a lot of varied things.
