I really liked how much I was able to take ownership of certain documents related to my project. I was given a lot of responsibility and really looked at as an equal on the team. I also really loved the other interns I worked with and the members of my project team for the summer. I liked it so much that I'm going back full-time in September! The hardest part was learning industry terms and best practices in the consulting field. There was definitely a learning curve but everything started to click within a couple of weeks.

I liked the versatility that the consulting job requires. You really need to be a jack-of-all-trades. Obviously not as an intern, but the trajectory is very clear. I did not really like how slow the pace is sometimes when you are in between projects. EY is a behemoth and sometimes you really feel it when there is nothing to do for a week or so.
