Be sure to identify the strengths you have and how it can be applied to the classroom setting. You want to be knowledgeable in the field of Early Childhood and have some experience working with young children. Talk about your experience, your education, and how you would positively contribute to the development of young children. Also, if you're applying for a position with the Head Start program, do your research. There's a lot of paperwork, guidelines, and regulations that a Head Start program and classroom have to abide by. It's better that you come prepared rather than feel overwhelmed with everything. Lastly, identify why you want to teach. Figure out what it is about teaching children that sparks your interest and be able to communicate your dedication to the field, and most importantly your dedication to the children.
