I can say for sure if you're an active student then you may have to give up your free time. I do work both weekend days and during semesters where i have a day off or 1 class on the weekday I would also work those days. I would say definitely try to balance work and school because it won't help you if you work to the point where you flunk out of school. I do give up most, if not all my holidays and breaks to work and it's not something I am forced to do nor something I dislike. Personally I'm just a workaholic and my boss really likes that.
