Does majoring in pharmacy actually set me up to be a good pharmacist intern at Hometown Pharmacy? Or do you end up learning most on the job?

Former Pharmacy Intern at Hometown Pharmacy

Studying Pharmacy and working as a Pharmacy Intern go hand-in-hand, as to be expected. Thus, it prepares you well for this job. However, I'd definitely say that working as a pharmacy intern prepares you far more for pharmacy school than vice versa. Working as a pharmacy intern prior to beginning pharmacy school and throughout has positively impacted me and helped me learn a ton. In addition, it gives you a chance to apply the knowledge you've gained from pharmacy school. I can say for certain that I probably would not be doing as well in pharmacy school had I not worked for Hometown Pharmacy.
