Former Undergraduate Research Assistant at Arizona State University
over 2 years ago
When I was in the process of applying for an undergraduate research position at ASU, I made sure that I thoroughly researched potential professors whose areas of interest aligned with mine. Once I narrowed down to a few professors who I would like to work for and whose research I would like to learn more about, I emailed those professors and explained to them my interest in their work. It is crucial to research the professor and possibly read some of their publications to gain a better insight into the type of work that is performed in the research group/lab.
