Former Staff Research Assistant at Los Alamos National Laboratory
almost 2 years ago
Be familiar with the work of the group you would like to join and identify ways in which your graduate research and interests match. Think about projects you would like to pursue as SRA, how these relate to the underlying scientific program of your target group and also how your proposed work at Los Alamos would contribute to your own scientific development. Identify people in the group you might want to work with as mentors and make an effort to contact them and discuss your ideas in advance. It can be a great advantage to already know who you'd like to work with and have their support.
