Anybody here a music therapy major who's worked as a musical therapist at Meaningful Day Services? Did your major prove useful in this position?

Thanks for asking. I am extremely grateful for my education. Though I feel I am still learning, I believe my professors taught as much as they could in four years. I think my professors gave excellent feedback on my planning, organizing, and leading techniques, and I felt extremely prepared to lead a session going into my internship. Though, my vocal skills still needed work, and I wish I would have had more opportunities in school as part of the music therapy curriculum to improve my singing. All in all, my practicums were an extremely vital part of my education in addition to the fact that the music therapy professors were able to give 1:1 attention to students when needed.
