Every school is a bit different in terms of the schedule and/or how many kids you are working with at once. Typically, you help the children get off the bus and to their classroom and prepare for the day. The teacher will have their schedule ready for the day and you will assist the teacher with the activities and help children to stay engaged and learn! Assistance is needed at recess, which is a great time to have fun with the kids! You are always given a break during the day for lunch as well! At the end of the day, you help the kids pack up and make sure they get to their bus safely! As much as we try to stick to schedule, things can get a bit chaotic based on the kids’ moods and amount of staff present, so be prepared to be flexible and work hard!
