Former Assistant Swim Coach at Crane Creek Country Club

Swim practice at CCCC usually started at 8 AM, so I would get to the Country Club around 7:30. We’d set up the pool (flags, blocks, lane lines, etc.). Kids would start arriving around 7:50, and we’d get them in the pool at 8. Practices run consecutively from 8 AM-1 PM so those times are a lot of coaching, a lot of getting kids things they need, and getting in the pool do demonstrate and assist. We order lunch from the Country Club at 11 AM and eat at 12 PM (Yes, employee lunch is free!). At 1 PM, we’d clean up and head home. On meet days, if it was a home meet, we’d stay until about 3 PM organizing cards and be back around 5 PM to set up. Meet Days are longer but it consists of making sure kids are lined up, giving them pep talks before and debriefing in their race after, and cheering for them!
