The interviewing process isn't one to be scared of or intimidated by. The process is just some simple questions like "Why do you want to work at journeys?" or "What are some traits that best define you?" Simple and cliche questions that give the interviewer some insight on if they would choose to hire you. The biggest advice I can give as a previous sales lead would be to relax and really express yourself without coming off as annoying or irritable. The way my previous manager had looked at it was for the applicant to really "sell" themselves to the manager. Have them stand out in a way that they would be remembered as recurring customers would sometimes ask for specific salesmen/saleswomen for their help, and help the store out overall. Dress shouldn't be overly done nobody is requiring a suit and tie or a dress for the interview, but nobody is wanting applicants to dress like bums either. Clean casual clothes is all that is asked for and I suggest picking clothes that best reflect your individual style and personality (Try to wear journeys shoes if possible). P. s For the question "Why do you want to work at journeys?" I answered with "I want to work here because I love this company. I love how the selection of shoes are not limited to only running shoes, or only skate shoes, or dress shoes, but Journeys has an amazing selection to choose from and I really think I could express that same feeling on the floor."
