Former Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services (FIDS) Intern at EL LLP
about 2 years ago
Every day at the department is different. Fraud investigation is very broad, and activities vary based on the project, the industry etc. You can expect a lot of “field work” at the client’s office, plant etc. Some projects are very short, others last months. This type of work is quite unpredictable and one day you can be informed that the next day you are leaving for a week-long project in another city. There are days when you are not assigned to any project and you stay at the office working on department’s internal documents or give assistance to colleagues working on other projects. Expect to work very long hours, possibly including weekends.
