Be sure to have looked into what the professor that you are interviewing with studies. Looking at their website and reading the introductions to a few of their papers would be most helpful. In your head, try to connect these ideas to the physics that you have learned in your classes so far. Most likely, doing this will bring up some questions about their work that you can ask them during the interview. This makes you look especially strong as a candidate as it shows you are curious, inquisitive, and willing to ask questions, which is what research is all about!
