Extremely busy. You will have a caseload that could change at any moment. Walk in evaluations could occur at any point of your day if the front desk is able to get a patient on your schedule. Your day is filled with consulting with patients and treating them, manual therapy, exercise adjustments, modality application in some cases, evaluations, re-evaluations, discharges, delegating to techs, and sometimes a call to a physician is warranted, and sometimes followups over the phone with certain patients are needed. You will have to find time in your packed schedule for calls, for special forms for insurance, and documentation. Documentation is currently in both the WebPT computerized form but MTI has paper forms specifically for MTI that are also required to fill out. Time management is a must, all the while maintaining excellence in patient care and safety. I generally came to work early, worked through lunch, and left late most days.
