Former Water Quality & Industrial Surveillance Paraprofessional at The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District

You will most likely be out in the field for 60-75% of your day.
You may be collecting water quality samples from beaches, streams, the Cuyahoga river, or Lake Erie.
You may also be electrofishing, or collecting samples at one of three wastewater treatment plants.
You may be working on an illicit discharge detection and elimination investigation that may require opening up sewer manholes (which is typically not as bad as it sounds).
You may accompany industrial surveillance investigators that inspect and collect samples from industrial users throughout Northeast Ohio.
You have to be open to being put in a variety of situations, and safety is a big component of it as well as looking out for other members on your team.
