It was great, I taught night classes so campus wasn’t too busy when I arrived. But I often parked far away anyway just so I could have a nice walk through the beautiful campus before class. Students were great, very few were contentious or whiners. The curriculum, including: example syllabus, lecture ppts, text book, recommended homework problem sets, and tests was provided to me, but I was given the freedom to adjust as I saw fit so long as wasn’t changing the content of the course. The department was very positive and supportive although because my classes were at night I didn’t often see many other teacher.
